Forsthaus Malerwinkel

Our forester's lodge Malerwinkel is located in Malerwinkel between the Kötschachtal in Bad Gastein within the Hohe Tauern National Park. Even long before the emergence of the Hohe Tauern National Park, and since the appearance of post cards, the Malerwinkel was photographed as the most beautiful place in the Kötschachtal. Its location at the Luis-Trenker Memory Path is not coincidental.

Our house is very sunny and the two nearby waterfalls provide the sound for a very restful sleep. Despite its location amidst the hiking paradise of the Hohe Tauern National Park with its countless waterfalls, power spots, and mountain lakes, the attractions of Bad Gastein can be reached within 7 minutes: The Well of Eternal Youth which has made Bad Gastein so famous; the fact that Empress Sisi wrote poems here; the pastures of the Stubnerkogel and the Graukogel; the sport archery course, the Badbruck golf course; the world-famous healing caves and both Felsentherme and Alpentherme spas.

Children are especially welcome in our home. You will not only find a 13,000 square meter "playground" around our house, but around 200 books, games and much more inside the house.
