Our extraordinary holiday home on an idyllic car-free island in the middle of Austria's southernmost and warmest lake, Lake Faak in Carinthia. And actually: Our hotel is the only island hotel in all of Austria. You can reach the island and our “very special” 4-star hotel from May to September at any time and easily (day & night) using the hotel’s own water taxi (motorboat). The Inselhotel Faakersee is a paradise for those in need of relaxation, (water) sports enthusiasts and families. On the lawn on the hotel's own beach you can relax and enjoy the unique mountain panorama. The exclusive (island) location is an optimal starting point to treat stressed parents to rest and relaxation, while at the same time it offers numerous island adventures for young and old. Whether pirates, explorers, adventurers, forest fairies or goblins - Austria's only island hotel is full of unusual characters in the summer months (July & August). The reason for this is the colorful entertainment program, in which children aged three and over can take part free of charge every day (except Saturday and Sunday). Activities on/around the island: swimming, SUP, archery, boating and kayaking, fishing, an artificial turf and two sand tennis courts (included in the price), golf tees, basketball and beach volleyball courts and much more. The special location, as well as the diverse leisure and sports opportunities on the island, offer the best conditions not only for holidaymakers but also for family celebrations, weddings or birthday parties through to conferences, seminars or company events. Our restaurant will provide you with international and local cuisine. With our water taxi you can travel from the mainland to the island and vice versa at any time (day or night). A quick call to our boat driver is enough and you will be at the desired location in just a few minutes.
