Lago d'Iseo

Lake Iseo or Lago d'Iseo is the fourth largest of Italy’s great lakes and is situated in the beautiful region of Lombardy to the north of the country. Indeed, lake Iseo is close to the historic cities of Brescia and Bergamo, it is a very beautiful lake within what has become an industrial region, and is much visited by people who enjoy the sheer beauty and tranquillity of this most amazing part of Italy.
Lake Iseo is famed for the Monte Isalo which ranks among the largest of islands in European lakes, and the surrounding shores are home to many Lago d'Iseo hotels in some of the prettiest towns and villages in northern Italy. This may be an industrial area but the region is still home to some sights of quite breathtaking beauty, and people are drawn to the Lago di Iseo year after year.
For larger groups it may be worth renting an apartment by Lake Iseo's banks, and there are plenty available along the shores of the lake. This type of accommodation offers excellent freedom of choice, and allows the visitor to explore the flora and fauna of the area in their own time while taking in the sights that are part of this wonderful area of Italy.
